I should've never bought a 99 joined this forum. Every day, it seems, someone posts up a beautiful rifle like Iv'e never even seen or could afford. I'm so green with envy, I'm going outside and dig a ditch or something to take my mind off it.

It arrived just fine. I don't think it's just me, but this is the last gun I'll have shipped. I don't like the anticipation, nor the wait. I have bought guns over the net and actually had the seller deliver it to me and I have also driven to pick the gun up. All trips have involved planning and driving several hundred miles. But the peace of mind was worth it.

I was stressing over my K, John put it in a hard case and it made it from CA to MD fine. But, I know as the condition of the rifle goes up, the stress goes up exponentially. Glad it made it safe.

Thank you. And it's mostly my doing. I usually worry about things way too much. It the end, 99% of the time everything is fine. I have had those when things did NOT go well. Las night was a fun time for me though.

Here's the story.

Each night I manage a little time to look over the herd. Working over time and driving to and from work leaves little time in the day for pleasure. Last night I had one of those experiences that makes your eyes bug right out of your head. I am now the proud owner of THREE K's. 2 are T/D's and 1 is a solid frame (lettered as such). 1 T/D has a number of 30066X, 1 has a number of 32922X, the most recent one has a number of 32923X. The last 2 are only THREE numbers apart. One left the factory and went to Colorado, 1 left and went to New England. The T/D eventually ended up in California and the solid frame to Nebraska, after many many stops in between.. At any rate, they are BOTH in New Hampshire now. Oh how I wish it was possible to hear their stories.

We need everyone to post pics of their K's so we can get all the variations in one place. I'm packing up for the Ogden gun show today but will add the pics of my two when I get the chance.

Well, I'll go. This is the one I got from JRK a few months ago. Just remember old scopes need love too. The scope has a thumb screw to loosen it, it slides off a rail, then slides back to zero every time. I took it off 3-4 times between shots and point of impact never changed. I'm a happy camper.

I thought I had a pic of the good side, but, that's over on Davids thread. Maybe when David gets back from the show he can start a new "K" thread.

It'll be a few days before I have time enough to do that. I had a custom gun stand made and hopefully it'll help provide some stability during picture taking. Sides that I'm tired. laugh laugh laugh
