I was thinking about a S.A xds and decided to check their political donations.

https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/toprecips.php?id=D000063501&cycle=2020

It shows a $3 donation to Bernie Sanders. It's a piddling amount, but it is odd for a firearm company to donate to socialists. Any thoughts on the matter?

Might be like leaving a 2¢ tip after a meal.

Remember why, specifically, the Bill of Rights was written...remember its purpose. It was written to limit the power of government over the individual.

When you make a donation, they ask for who your employer is, or if you are employed. Apparently someone working for Springfield made a donation and answered the question, as to who his employer was. Sounds like it was a joke, to some extent.

Looking at it again,it seems like it could be an error,it's listed under 2020 donations, and they have not tallied up the 2019 donations..

A lot of companies have matching programs for donations. So its possible an employee made a donation and SA made the match.

The collection of taxes which are not absolutely required, which do not beyond reasonable doubt contribute to public welfare, is only a species of legalized larceny. Under this Republic the rewards of industry belong to those who earn them. Coolidge
