Cruz has stepped up and supported Trump and the rest of us when he needed to.
He also has a right to criticize any other politician he doesn't agree with about something.
Cruz probably has permission to be butthurt a bit too, given the tactics that were deployed against him.
I don't agree with either of them 100% of the time. But I don't see Cruz doing what Romney or McCain does.

Relax and go back to basic politics. I'm sure Cruz doesn't like our election business going external, but isn't there a bigger picture? Didn't Cruz just have a nasty race against Beto and need Trump's help? Now that Cruz has 6 more more years, I'm sure he has "permission" to criticize Trump here and there if it keeps his seat strong in a state like Texas that the GOP counts on.

. Not exactly. Back in August of 2017, Trump was going to fire Sessions and fill the AG spot via Recess Appointment. In order to block President Trump from replacing Sessions while they were on break and without their "approval", they had to have a unanimous vote, 100-0 in order to stop Trump from repacing Session without Senate Confirmation. As a result, Trump and America had to put up with Sessions hiding under his desk for another year, two years+ of Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein.. Cruz had an opportunity to stand with the President and vote NO allowing for a Recess appointment . instead he stood with the establishment.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

I sure don't agree with Trump 100% of the time, nor Cruz either...but I sure don't want a Texas demoncrap in the US Senate. Criticism of Trump is one thing, but undermining is another. I'm willing to tolerate Cruz.
