In the process of planning a DIY spot and stalk black bear hunt next spring in Montana. Have a safe full of rifles but this seems like a good excuse to buy another. Thinking of picking up a 7-08 and new scope. I’m not a turret twister. Anyone have one of these and can give an opinion?

Well I don't have a GS3 but I have 2 sets of Steiner binos. They have the same coatings as the GS3. For the money those GS3 scopes are very hard to better. When buying my last scope I compared the Steiners to Leica and Leupold. I ended up with Leica but only because the GS3 didn't have the 4a reticle. The differences between the two were very subtle. Anyways I don't think you'll be disappointed. Cheers.

Do you sell anything “better” at this price point or is this the top of the line at $600? I have a safe full of stuff but no Steiner. None of my local stores carry Steiner so i can’t actually look thru one to judge.

This is an excellent scope with top tier optics. At this price point, in a SFP hunting scope this is a best buy for sure

I'm looking for the gs3 4-20x50 but kind of leery after reading about the tracking problems with the upper tier scopes. I'm not seeing a lot of reviews or post about this scope at all. I'm impressed with my Steiner 10x50 binoculars though.

If you get it from us and have any issue with it we'll take it back. No worries, it's a great scope
