Enjoyed watching the big man fight back in the 90's.

WWF had built Bart Gunn up as this total badassed for real fighter and Butterbean came in and knocked him out in less than a minute.

Butterbean was a windmill when he fought. I thought anyone who would try to take him on was nuts!

You can see the power in his punch and being able to take a punch is a huge advantage.

Was he the wrestler who was in a plane crash and survived? I seem to remember it happening 20 or so years ago?

I love Butterbean, watch his fights all the time. But this, this is quality entertainment for the entire family. Is Butterbean OK? Hahaha. Jackass was revolutionary in television.

I've never seen someone in the ring who was so "out of shape".
Man could he punch.

My favorite Ali fight is the one where he went toe to toe with Ernie Shavers. Whatever else you think of him, he could take a punch. That one was a slugfest.
Butterbean, or a clone, was in the old Nintendo boxing game.
What fresh Hell is this?

when i was about 15 i fought a guy who seemed that big (he wasn't) and it was like hitting a side of beef. luckily he windmilled a lot and tuckered himself out. but he landed one on me that had me hurting for weeks. big red faced irish kid. ended up being a buddy of mine for a few years. i still read about him from time to time in the local police blotter. he has taken to drankin' and fighting leo's. i'll bet they love to take calls at his place.

Was he the wrestler who was in a plane crash and survived? I seem to remember it happening 20 or so years ago? I think your talking about Rulon Gardner. He was. Gold Metal Olympian that beat a Russian thought to be “unbeatable”! Rulon was in a small plane with Randy Brooks (Barnes Bullets), and crashed into Lake Powell (I think). memtb

DONT post much on here but I live in the same town as Butterbean. I remember being in high school in the 90s and watching him start his career in Toughman Fights Live. He looked much more out of shape than he was. He was VERY quick for his size and a gentle giant outside the ring.

I had a friend (Dead now) who could take a punch like none I've ever seen.
He was 5' 6" and he grew up fighting his dad and his brothers. He would wear a guy twice his size down and beat the schit out of him. i don't think he ever lost a fight after he was 15 or so.
He had a really rough child hood but he did good in life and was very successful. I sure do miss him he was a good guy, as generous as they come.

I know a guy who fought Butterbean twice. First time he almost beat him. Second time Butterbean pulled out all the stops and cleaned his clock.
I've always been different with one foot over the line.....

I'm surprised that his opponents allowed themselves to be crowded. It looks like they should have kept their distance until Butterbean became worn down.
