Sometimes you never know you need a rifle until you do. I stopped by a local outfitter this afternoon to kill some time and found this little gem on the used gun rack. A BRNO ZKK601 in .308win; complete with the mount, and Carl Zeiss ZF4/S 4x30. The barrel and action are stamped for a 1980 mfg date, and it is pristine. One of the counter guys said it was a safe queen trade-in, and could make a good deal on it. I was intrigued, but did not plan on buying a rifle today...until I learned that they wanted $350 for it. WTF? Every local store around me would have been like “BRNO? What’s that? Some guy’s initials? Must be a custom. Mark it for $1850.00 and put it out on the rack.”
