Lightweight is in the eye of the holder. My new lightweight hunting rifle weighs just over 10 lbs and handles like a dream and feels lighter than it is. Compared to the 13 lb plus guns I was normally hunting with this one is a lightweight

Nice looking rifle.

What caliber is that bad-boy?

I’ve got lots of lightweight rigs, but I honestly gravitate to my well balanced set ups more so than my 6 pound full up rifles.

Plus I love iron sighted rifles

Light rifles are overrated anyway.

Light weight may be in the eye of the beholder but 10#'s is still 10#'s! In rifle's I think to many actually take weight to to much of an extreme for me.

It is a .45-70. I have had a few fly weight rifles that were nice to carry but I realized most are ugly and life is too short to hunt with an ugly gun

Haha. I crossed more contour lines elk hunting last week than the entire state of Florida even has. I barely got through it with a short-action Kimber Hunter.
