It seems a little odd. There are a lot more details but basically the protesters are demanding democracy and personal rights. Dems are feverishly trying to take our rights away yet backing the protests. Which side of the fence are they on?
I have relatives that are 100% for forcing socialism on the US population but they say they are against communism. All the same boat to me. So they are promoting the removal of our individual rights yet supporting the protesters in HK who are fighting for their rights.
When I ask them about this phenomenon, I get called a racist and the conversation ends.
Can anyone enlighten me?

If the Dems are supporting Hong Kong, it may be because they think that China's gonna crush them. Then they can blame Trump for not protecting them. It's a no-win situation for Trump !

China news heavily propagandizes this crap and makes it dangerous for Americans that have to go over there to do our jobs. "US Government supports violent terrorists" doesn't invite cooperation from Chinese nationals. Commie or not, those folks are strongly patriotic (of course, otherwise they get 're-educated!).

Can anyone enlighten me? No I cannot as we get the same thing here where there is more sympathy from the left for foreigners than there is for local citizens in need.
