International cheapo Muslim labor smuggling. In a refrigerated unit. Could be, the reefer malfunctioned, and piped CO into the trailer.
Could be, they just got locked into the trailer for a few days, the guys breathed up all the oxygen and, it was lights out.

Paul B. I read the same. And it was a refrigerated semi trailer so you know it's pretty air-tight. I suspect they suffocated.
