I've been reading at the fire way longer than I've been posting. Don't post that much. I'm just fascinated by Some of your guys experiences and adventures. I'm just a guy who grew up in Ohio hunting squirrels and rabbits and deer with a shotgun. Bass, catfish, and crappies. Never killed an elk, or a moose. But love to read about the ones guys and gals on the Fire have killed. Being a Kahuna or Oracle doesn't matter to me. I get a lot of enjoyment from reading the stories. Don't care much for the pizzing matches though. Keep it up friends!

I'm on here every few days. Mostly, if I don't think I have anything important to add, there's no sense posting. I used to post on some bowhunting forums and just got tired of "experts" with limited field experience expounding on their expertise. I just decided it's easier to stay out of the fray and read. That way, I don't really care. I do wonder why some of you guys keep feeding the trolls. You're not going to change their minds and hopefully, they aren't going to change yours.

I always thought of you as a Luker, not a Lurker. I could be wrong though.

Two fingers...that's pretty good. You must be ambidextrous.

Why get involved in flame wars? I could pontificate based on experience and on what I have knowledge of if I wanted to. I would rather glean the information from others. You can learn a lot from this forum but I would rather do other things than get involved in flame wars with others. I once got into a row with Mule Deer over quality of binoculars. I really look up to him and his writing. I think that he has a great deal of intelligence and experience that gives his voice credence. However, on a part time basis I sell binoculars and know quite a bit about real world performance of lower tier, mid tier and upper alpha binoculars. JB had merit in his argument. The lower end chinese binoculars have gotten better. But the Alphas have gotten better too. I still believe that buying the best optics that you can buy is the easiest way to become a better hunter. You could try to give me Hawke binoculars and I would go back to my Swaro ELs every single time. I think that every hunter, even somebody with a family and a low paying job owes it to themselves to buy some really good binoculars and avoid the chinese crap. I am not an elitest but I can tell you that you minimize error when you buy the good stuff.
On the other hand, I can't stand Stick and his strange alien language. I also believe that many folks go full walter mitty on here. There are some like JB, Phil, Waterrat, and used to be BobNH and Michael Petrov that I would read there posts again and again. There are others that have a good taste in things.
I figure that I am older than some and younger than others but having never even hunted whitetail deer or gone to Africa, I don't have the experience of many on this forum. I work a lot and so I rely on this forum more than magazines because most magazines don't get here until they are about 1 month old. Internet is spotty at the house and filtered at school. I could dazzle people with bullshit. But why????? I will just lurk.

My doctor recommended finger dexterity exercises for several hours every day, so I have to be here.

(I can only jack off for a few seconds at a time and honestly I don't think it helps my fingers as much as it could, what with all the repetitive movement and all.)
