Tagged along with a neighbor to fill a doe/fawn antelope tag.
Here's what we saw, from 175 yards when we found a small group, this was two people with 10x binoculars then the shooter with 8x scope:
- One doe, bigger than a small buck in the group
- No visible antlers
- No black cheek patch
Took the shot, here's what we found:
- Antlers about 1 inch (I know doe antelope can have antlers, smaller, but antlers)
- no black cheek patch
- Had 4 "teets" for an udder, dry.
- Had testicles, but did NOT have a penis
Very confused. Buck or doe? Is this normal?

Very normal. IIrc the world record horned doe had horns of 9 inches. Will have to do a google search.
Friends son shot one this year that had horns of 4 inches.

Normal in today's world. Probably raised by liberal parents that never applied any discipline. Mother Nature would never allow such confusion.

When antelope are free to choose, this is what happens
Small Game, Deer, Turkey, Bear, Elk....It's what's for dinner.

No more confusion. They are horns, made from the hair growing on their head. A lot of doe pronghorn have horns.
If you hunt with your kids. You should not have to hunt for your kids.

She was identifying as a buck. Apparently freak goats know they need to be killed.
