I got my hands on a Fieldcraft last week in 6.5 Creedmoor, that was a nice handling and feeling rifle all the way around. I see what much of the fuss is over them now.

All hat and NO ranch. COAL is a fhuqking bust. I don't know if it was your intent; but, well played Craig.

Check out the Bergara Premier Mtn in 280ai instead I had one of these for a while. It is a really nice rifle, and it showed 1/2 MOA promise with the 10 rounds of factory ammo I ran through it. But another rifle got my attention and I sold it. The guy I sold it to easily turned it into a 1-hole rifle with his handloads.

Stock - $500 Barrel - $400 700 Action - $400 Trigger - $140 You are already at $1400+ and that's without any gunsmithing. The Bergara Premier has a match grade Bergara barrel, action and barrel fitted by gunsmith in GA shop, pretty sure Timney trigger and it comes with test target proving sub MOA. You can find them for $1800 new. Also, if you ever sell the Bergara will definitely hold it's value much much better than a custom build.

You CLUELESS Droolers, are a fhuqking hoot! Hint. Congratulations?!?
Because boolits matter wayyyyy more than headstamps,a S/A Fieldcraft will reliably stomp their L/A attempts. Again, the magbox COAL is too short,to do anything worth a fhuqk on an '06 hull and especially in .284". Same goes fhuqking Tikka,Ruger and Montuckies. Hint.
I get it,that the only thing you gals "shoot" is your mouths and Imaginations and the ONLY fhuqking reason your feeble attempts at a First Fhuqking Clue are sooooooo HILARIOUS,is because you are doing your collective BEST. Hint.
1400 Clams will build a KILLER rifle, though it stumps you Retards. Hint.
Bergara's suck heavy ass. Hint.
Your STUPIDITY never ceases to fhuqking amaze. Hint.
Bless your hearts for trying.
Hint.
LAUGHING!....................

I don’t think Big Stick is wrong. $1400 will build a killer custom rifle if you’re okay with the said rifle being a boat anchor and you have some mechanical ability. I guess in the case of using a tikka action, you could probably get away with a little less even after smithing but it isn’t gonna leave much room to lose weight or for a new stock.
If you’re looking for a ~5lb bare rifle, unless you’re a gunsmith or have a LOT of spare parts laying around you’re not getting it for less than 3k and possibly much more.

If you must L/A,simply do it fhuqking right. Hint. Pretty Fhuqking Easy To Connect Dots RINKPass the 7-08 Fieldcraft,it's 3" + COAL inherent latitude,1-8" RPM and 180 ELD's at 2600fps from it's 21" spout. Incorporate all (5) 8-40 fasteners for 20 MoMo Sanctity,go low SWFA's and a 6x MQ. I'll happily trade a "whopping" 200fps,the added weight, length, noise and recoil/. Hint. Teeker cain't enter the conversation,on ANY level...except Sucktitude. Hint.....................................
