Pheasant hunting is about the only hunting I do anymore. Can be in birds within 5-10 minutes of the house so it's easy to squeeze in a quick hunt. JPB, yep, a 16g Rizzini. Bought it secondhand from Field Grade. Carries like a dream. Couple weeks ago. (when Rancho should have been here!)

I did a 20 minute walk around a stock damn this morning right here close to town and the only thing I kicked up was a mangy coyote laying out of the wind. Had to go get some yearlings back in and fix fence right before lunch and flushed a couple sharptails with the SxS. Wrong kind of SxS!

None here, but sage grouse and blues in the hills.. Heading out Thursday for about 10 days.. Hope it is a good one.. Except for deer and coyotes, this is my favorite hunt of the season..
