I recently purchased an M38 Sporter and am in the process of cleaning it up. It's a 1943 Husqvarna. I'm hoping that someone may recognize the stock maker. It was bedded, so apart from cleaning it up, I am going to leave it alone, unless it doesn't shoot.

Any information about this from the Swedish Mauser people? Thanks.

Thanks! Mine looks very much like what appears to be a Stiga stock of yours - third from the left. It was definitely worked on after its military service. I was thinking not only about the stock, but the armadillo shaped safety.

No, the VDF is the one on the far right, the remainder are factory Husqvarna sporters.

Stiga used a similar type stock which, as you can see, was popular at the time.

The safety you refer to was a fairly common aftermarket add on.

Nothing other than it appears to block the trigger. Probably handmade. I've seen dozens of similar pieces, none appeared to have been mass produced.
