Any Browning buffs out there that can help me out? I am helping a widow evaluate the value of some guns. She has several Browning A5 Sweet 16's. I have that figured out, all but 1. There is one that has a ventilated rib on it that must be 1/2 wide. I have never seen a rib that wide. Looks original, but is it. Did they put wide ribs on any?? Thanks

I've seen the Broadway style rib on a couple of 12 ga guns but not the other gauges. Those guns were priced similarly to corresponding standard ribbed guns. My "collector" time with the A-5 was more related to representatives of the major style types by gauge rather than accessory features so I am rather inexperienced in that area of knowledge. I personally would tack on a slight premium and mention rarity as it is easier to reduce the price than counter with more if an offer is made.

I've never seen a broadway rib on a 16. I'd love to see a picture or two of that.
