I guess it is all personal choice, but the Ruger Bisley in 44 Special feels the best to me. It has the 4 5/8 barrel. The 44 Special is on the smaller frame, and the action just feels more positive. Again my opinion, but it feels more like a SAA in some ways, a bulky SAA.
I have a 7.5 Bisley in 41 Mag, and for me it does not balance in my hand well. I have ammo loaded for that one, and after I burn up those rounds I'll sell it. I did have a 5.5 inch standard BH in 41 Mag, and I liked that one a bunch. At the time I thought the 7.5 would be a trade up, but for me it was a notch down.
As far as numbers go, I like the 4 5/8 barrel, the reduction in weight, and the caliber in the 44 Special. I feel comfortable with 25000 psi loads in the Ruger, so it will drop any whitetail in my woods.
I do feel blessed to own a handful and be able to choose a favorite.

I have one of these and mine is probably the best factory Ruger I've ever handled. Those grips are very nice. I have some Giraffe bone grips on a Colt SAA and really like them. The factory grips on my Turnbull Bisley were a pretty poor fit. I'd also like to change the hammer out for a blue one, or even better have it Case Colored.

Very nice Bisley, the grips compliment the revolver.

Like you, I’m blessed to own more than I’ll ever use but they’re all DA. I’ve owned several unique 3-screw Rugers in the past and agree with you on the 4 5/8” barrel length.
Fairly certain it will either be .44 Spl or .45 Colt.
I’ll post it up in here when I find it.
Thanks again for the inspiration.
