Corn looks like it was pretty good. What's it making? High ground 196 bpa, I did one field of low ground 173 bpa. The other low fields won't be harvested until ground freezes. Plus, there is a lot of stunted corn there and bare spots due to wet conditions all season.

I remember when a 100 bushel an acre corn crop was considered very good. A lot has changed since then.

Any corn under 200 bushels is a disappointment. Input costs have gone way up.

Wayne, we do as well, that is not free either. I like the boost in organic matter.

Any corn under 200 bushels is a disappointment. Input costs have gone way up. Today, the cost of seed corn alone is more than it used to cost for the seed and fertilizer.

Wayne, we do as well, that is not free either. I like the boost in organic matter. Right, it is not free if you are producing it, but the amount of manure that I produce from my beef cows is just a small percentage of field application. Three dairy operations apply their slurry which doesn't cost me a dime.
