Thanks Jeff! This one shoots the 120TTSX over Varget great as well for 3030avg. May give them a run before long. Prob switch to the 270 and Edge TLR for a bit and see how that stout new pill does.

Good job dad. I don't have a 7-08, I have a 7x57 instead. But unlike a lot of older ones mine is on a strong 98 action. I just had it built so haven't hunted with it. I think I'm going to go with a 140grainSGK. I think I can get over 2800 FPS out of it. I'll be hunting white tail and hogs so it should be good.

I see you're from NW Louisiana. Are you close to Atlanta TX? I was born there and still have family there. It's about 50 miles from Shreveport.

That is a fine buck!

He looks a lot like the rare better bucks we have around here. I only live about 90 miles from the LA border. The terrain is probably about the same sand and iron ore and mixed pine hardwoods. No row crop to speak off except a few winter pastures for cattle.

Your raising that boy right. He's learning about how hard work and dedication pays off. He's learning lessons by hunting with you that will pay off as he becomes and adult.

No kidding. He’s cool with it and I doubt a 4pt will get a pass if it’s close enough lol

Sounds like a sweet rig. I bet you’ll do fine with that pill at 2800.

Not too far away, I lived in Minden for 15yrs and now living close to Ruston. I work over in Shreveport and travel up to Texarkana a decent amount.
