Hi all,

Finally getting a proper in/lb torque wrench.

I had planned to purchase a 0-75 in/lb wrench, giving me a useable range from about 12-15 to 75 in/lbs.

But over the years I've had some .22's that liked a heavy hand on the action screws, and I don't know if 75 in/lbs is enough for all rifles.


So for the guys who track such things, is 75 always enough?

A version of Ruger 77 calls for 90, other than that, 65 in/lb is usually among the top numbers used.

for 10/22s, people seem to be between 20-30

Ditto for CZ rimfires

Typically where many of my wood stocked bolt .22s fall as well.

i use 15-45in/lb range the most. very rarely going above 45in/lb and sometimes,think 10/22 aluminum receiver, go to 12in/lb, weaver makes a good one similar to my borka 10-80in/lb range.

Well, it looks like a 0-75 should cover most everything.

I use two, one for the lower half of that range and one for the upper. The Fat Wrench covers a pretty wide spread, but I don't know how accurate it is. Mine are industrial quality instruments. I found them both new on eBay years ago.
