Have a friend over there hunting 3rd season right now. They are seeing plenty of animals around. There is a little snow on the ground and melting so it's making the roads pretty ugly. Supposed to be sunny and warmer so the roads may improve by the time 4th season rolls around. We typically stay at the campground in Maybell. He reported lots of animals hanging in camp and the local meat processor had a sign indicating they were not accepting any more as they were full.
We have had terrible hunting over there the last few years so we decided to try another area 2nd season this year and it was an EPIC fail!
Looks like we should have stuck with what we know and hunted 3/301 4th season!
Typical for my luck! I keep telling my hunting partners that I'm a big game jinx and I am not making any more decisions on where we hunt!!
I think you will have better luck than we did.
