I sue the 110 TTSX .in my .308 - shoots flat as a laser at about 3050 fps. Never recovered a single one. love them.

I have shot only 4 deer with mine and have yet to lose one. Right now I am using the Federal Premium load with the Barnes 110 TTSX with a chronoed MV of 3330 fps. With this being said, the deer where I hunt are small and all have traveled anywhere from 30-75 yards after the shot with 1 exception. The ranges have been from 40 - 120 yds. The exception was a small doe that was at an approximate distance of 120 yds and I made a bad shot and hit it at the very bottom of the belly with very little blood and little hair left at the spot. However, we have tracking dogs, which found the deer dead about a 1/2 mile away. So, even though the shot was bad, the end result was a recovered deer. Speaking of blood trails, the 1 negative I have observed is that this bullet has yet to leave a good blood trail, if that is important to you.

Works great. If trying to lessen recoil you can run a moderate load for beginning shooters but even full house loads aren't bad. It is flat and accurate and lays the smackdown.

I use them in a 22 Fwt 270, they are doing about 3200 FPS. When you hit bones it drops them in a heap. The antelope I shot in October fell so fast I couldn’t believe it. As someone already mentioned blood trails are so-so. I’ve yet to punch one through the lungs, so can’t comment on that. Have always hit front shoulder or spine.

I have taken three elk with my old Husky 270 (24" barrel) and the 110 gr TTSX over 63.5 gr of Hunter. This is max in the Barnes #4 manual and I would not exceed it in my rifle as the velocity in the Barnes manual is 3524 fps and when I've run my loads over my cheap chrono they have been a little faster than that. In fact, if I were shooting in really hot weather I would back off a smidge as I chrono-ed the load on a hot July day once and it was 3564 fps average. Accuracy has consistently been around .6-.8 inch at 100 yards for three shots. The elk were at 65, 110 (approx), and 427 yards. No bullets recovered.
I know this is a very small sample but I've got confidence in this load, the recoil is very light, and accuracy is as good as I care about for big game hunting.

I use the the 110 TTSX in my 7mm-08 at about 3100. They work to perfection, and shoot to the same point of impact as 110 Speers for cheap practice.

I haven't shot game ( sorry) but both the Federal Premium factory load and the 110 TTSX component in handloads shoot extremely well in two different .270s, one a BAR. I found Hunter to be the huckleberry for handloads!

110g ttsx in the 270 win, we use two different loads:
58g of Win 760 with a Rem 9 1/2 with 9 1/2 primer
57-58g of R#17 with fed 215
Jump the bullet .050 from the lands and expect less than 1/2" accuracy.
Deer FLOP!
