I shot a KY whitetail deer yesterday with my Remington 700 .30.06. I used a factory load Barnes TTSX 150 grain bullet. The 180 yard shot entered the slightly quartering to me deer in the front shoulder and exited behind the opposite shoulder. It took 1 step and dropped. I am very pleased with the terminal performance of the projectile.

Be very careful about bragging-up the Barnes Bullets.....you will quickly be ostracized and considered a hieratic by the “unknowing”! grin memtb

I dare say there's a bit of difference between bragging up a fine result experienced first hand and the Barnes be-all and end-all of game bullets proselytizing that goes on.

My trolling skills are weak... frown they are great bullets and they inspire confidence and that matters.... for strictly deer I choose other bullets. Where I live elk, deer & bear are open the same time and the X bullet is a solid choice

I've always used the 140 TTSX in my 7 RSAUM. The 140 gr. shoots under .5 MOA in my 700 Ti and have numerous one shot, DRT kills with it. Killed two aoudad with one shot with that bullet.

I use the 90 gr. X bullet (no longer in production) in my Model 70 257 Roberts with the same results.

I was just talking with a buddy a while ago about the Barnes TSX. He is a big fan of the Accubonds and has seen me kill a pile of critters with the TSX. He actually said to me that he thought they worked pretty darn good. I have never had one not perform perfectly out of about 6-7 calibers. You also can go light for caliber because speed is a good thing. When they put the grooves in them and made the copper a bit softer they absolutely found a winner.

I'm a bullet slut. But when in any doubt about performance anxiety...the Barnes go hunting.

I like em.

Both the TTSX amd LRX.

Have had great success with them on both deer amd pigs.

Lot have DRT.

I dont know if you are being sarcastic, but it doesnt take a barnes ttsx to kill a deer. It is "over priced " for that application. I can see the validity in using them for elk and bigger critters though. However, elk go down pretty easily with cheap bullets as well. Sierra gamekings, Winchester power points, hornady interlocks, just to name a few.. just sayin.

I LOVE the 62 grain TTSX at 3550 from my Tikka 22-250..... It thinks it’s a 300 Weatherby. Stuff usually just folds..
