Building a new rifle on a Defiance Rebel action and I was planning on going with an ADL McMillan stock. There is no center guard screw on this action and I see Holland and Bat both make a 1 hole ADL trigger guard. Anyone running one of these 1 screw trigger guards? How secure is it? I think I have read here where guys have used them and glued them in. This rifle will be hunted and I am not interested in anything I have to baby in any fashion.

I would Inlet for/expoy in a knurled nut and use a 2 screw trigger guard. The single screw guards were designed for use with "glue ins."

I had a Holland ADL gun. At the time he used a two hole TG, and simply put a stubby screw in the forward hole and fixed the screw in place with a circle clip ring. IIRC the TG was bedded, and fit in place very solid with no wiggle.

Both of those are ideas I never thought of. I like the sound of both better than glueing it.
