Daughter Amanda wanted to ride in the combine tonight. Likely 30 some years since she had. The last few rows in that field. Down to about 12 acres, it would feel good to be done. Lucky girl  I have never had the pleasure of riding in the combine with my Dad. He'd probably think I was crazy if I asked to ride with him now after all these years  Hope you are able to finish the last of your acres soon. Unfortunately for my Dad and other farmers in my area they may not finish. We have been hit with snow already. Best of luck to you

Combining corn is just getting going strongly here in ND. The weather has mostly prevented much activity until now. Too wet until now.

Combining corn is just getting going strongly here in ND. The weather has mostly prevented much activity until now. Too wet until now. Is just chop for cattle feed, or processed for dry kernels? We used to chop up corn for silage by August. That was a unique smell

This is normal time to do corn. The high steppers are all done of course.
Daughter Amanda is the marathon runner. She looks as tight as a fiddle string.

Dads like their children doing anything with them. Heck, lunch would be nice.
Sometimes, I go on a ridealong with my son while he's at work (LEO) not to ride in a police rig. No, It's so I can spend time with my son. I put enough miles dirving a black & white, just wanting some time with my son. It's kinda crazy when were all together grand-kiddos daughter-inlaw.
Last summer we did a camping trip, with my son and his two boys. My wife and I had a wonderful time with them.
Dads and moms love doing things with their kids. Well, my wife and I enjoy our time with our children.

I’ve been around agriculture guys my whole life but never got to ride in a combine. Something on my bucket list.
I did get to finally drive a baler last summer. The kind that throws small bales into a wagon pulled behind—then I got to drive a pick-up around the field and pick up all my miss throws on the corners.
