Installed a Leupold 56515 scope base, Redfield Revolution 2-7x33 scope, and an Uncle Mikes hammer extension. I bought some ammo from Precision One, Sierra 300 gr hollow points listed at 2050 fps. No chrony today but I've shot enough 45/70's to know these are all over that. These things were brutal. Rumors of heavy triggers on these guns are true. I'd say it's every bit of the 8# I've read about. There is no creep and it breaks clean. I managed to keep 3 shots under an inch at 50 yards despite the trigger and healthy recoil. I'd post pics but me and this site don't get along well with attachments.

Been mulling over one of these lately. Handled one (brass action) at a local shop, but am about to pull the trigger on a blued model online.
Judging by your post, I assume that these will handle modern, Marlin-strength handloads? The Henry website doesn't say anything about this.
Hope you can get your pictures up.
