Normally I use an RCBS power case trimmer. It's a good trimmer and I use it a good deal, but it's slow. When I'm loading 223 for the AR it seems to take forever. I had been looking at the Giraud Power Trimmer but that damned thing is expensive. This Lyman Case Trim Xpress follows the same idea but it's a good bit cheaper. They say it's easy set up and then 15 cases a minute. Gotta love that.

Has anyone used one?

I took two RCBS deburr tools and mounted them in a wood block. That's screwed to the bench. PO-Man style.

Lymans Case Prep Express is nice , Lee makes an adaptor [$6] to enable it to use the Lee case length gauges -which i already had- . So 5 tools turning at you fingertips -clean or uniform primer pockets , inside and outside chamfer case mouth , barrel cleaning brush to clean inside of neck and case length trim gauge . All in a compact quiet package , it has sped up this process tenfold .
All brushes -chamfer tools -primer pocket + mica dry lube come with the unit .

Note the Lee cutter is 1/2" diameter, so need a large enough chuck to accommodate it unless you turn the cutter handle end down on a lathe.

I have had one since August, works great. Take a minute to set up and then good to go. I think that we all hate to trim brass so this makes it a quick painless process. I think they were on sale for around $115.00 when I bought mine. Adjustments are easy as well. I trim and move right over to the RCBS power de burrer and chamfer machine. Makes quick work of a dreaded task.
