Randy,
It looks like a Savage 1920-26 barrel to me. I don't see a rear sight dovetail and I think that all of the Savage 99s had them.

Cripes! You had me sweating for a second, I went back and looked again.
You could be right, however:
1) The barrel threads are square (flat top), not 'V' cut. I believe the M20 threads are 'V'.
2) The first picture of the side of the barrel is not taken at 90 degrees from top. It is closer to 120 degrees, as the barrel has rolled over to the right and is resting on the tip of the front sight. We can't tell if a barrel dove tail is present or not.
I sent off an email to the seller asking appropriate questions. (Dove tail, breech cut for extractor, patent date stamp info.)
Either way, it has the longer front sight base which came out later in M20 production with serial # 9,000. Is that 1926 for M99 rifles? Maybe square threads would fit a M20? If it requires barrel set-back to make it fit, the dove tail for fore end attachment becomes useless.

RandyS,
Every Model 1920 and 20-26 barrel that I have removed has been square threaded. This looks like one (1) of the Model 20-26 barrels that GPC used to sell with the notation that it could be fitted to a Model 99. I don't see dovetails for either the rear sight on top of the barrel or for the forearm screw on the bottom of the barrel, so it is hard to tell without seeing if the extractor cut for the Model 99 have been made.
Sincerely,
Bearrr264

If you look really close and squint real hard and hold your head just right you can just about make out what looks to be a dovetail on the underside for the forearm lug. Or it could just be my glasses. Too bad the folks trying to sell this stuff don't take decent pictures with closeups of the important stuff. In some cases a picture is worth a thousand questions rather than a thousand words.

The seller's terse reply indicates no rear sight dove tail, no extractor cut in breech face, and M99 patent dates. (And no front sight blade.) It is correct for 1926 version, and with machining would probably work with a solid frame M99.
I think Bear264 is corrrect about barrel origin.
