Looking for opinions from those who own or have fired a savage storm. How do you like it, how does it shoot. Pros or Cons. I have a 30-06 weather warrior and it is the most accurate rifle I own, but I'm giving it to one of my bonus sons in a week. I don't need another rifle, but i want another "do all" for a season or so, then pass it on to one of my grandkids. So, what say you. Thanks in advance for your replies.

I also have a 30-06 Weather Warrior that is one of the most accurate guns I own also. I have many other deer rifles, but usually when I go hunting I grab one of my Savage's. I hunted this year with a new Savage Axis 11 SS 30-06 that will do 1/2" 3 shot groups with hand loads and 1" with several factory loads and it is the least pricey model that Savage makes. I think I paid 289.00 out the door for gun and couldn't be happier. So I would bet a pay check that the Storm will shoot!

I own 3 Savage Storms
LH 223
LH 308
RH 7mm/08 (for the wife)

Bought all 3 at Buds when they were priced at roughly $569 each earlier this year. Both the LH models shoot great. We just mounted the scope on the wife’s rifle, changed the LOP to suit her and her hunting coat and will sight it in soon. Not the smoothest action in the world but no Savage is in the same league as a Sako which has one of the smoothest butterly push feed actions ever made.
Money well spent on the Storms.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

id take a look at the lightweight hunter version ... LWH. i got a couple of the pre-storm LWHs for $400ish when they were being closed out. for me its a better little hunting package than the standard sporters. ive also never found an accuracy advantage to the “accustock,” although it is a little less floppy for tupperware.
