Because Ohio has a straight walled cartridge rifle only law for deer hunting, I got the itch to try something different. I already have a couple lever guns and a Ruger .44 carbine, but wanted a 350 Legend upper for my AR-15. I purchased one from Bear Creek Arsenal and received it a couple weeks ago. I ordered a Primary Arms cantilever mount and mounted a Leupold VX-1 that I had laying round. I went to the range yesterday and did some shooting. Although it still has the terrible mil-spec trigger, I was pretty pleased with the results. One bonus is the lack of recoil. Kicks a little less than my .243. OK- that is a first for me to hear of a 350 Legend and I am even more surprised to see you have it in an AR. Cool. I have a 44 mag lever action B92 with a steel butt plate. Not bad if wearing winter clothes but no 243 in a t-shirt.
Sounds like your rig would make for a great hog gun set up. Enjoy!!

Well I have bad back bad knees can't take recoil like I use to. I pick up a Savage Axis in a 350 Legend Its kick more less like a 223 very light and like said great groups out to 200 yards as far as I can shoot. No deer yet but only 5 days of a 15 day hunt Love this Savage

We need to get Rick to give us a deer hunting or rifle sub-forum. Got a laugh out of this. In the OP's defense there are several regular posters of the Hunters Campfire that do the same. Not sure why.

We really could use a "Good Deals" sticky at the top of this sub-forum. There's one on a boating forum I frequent and I am about half broke on account of it.
