Just received this from Midway. Hope it helps. smile

Good afternoon,

MidwayUSA has been notified of a potential defect relating to certain lots of Accurate 2495, 4065, and 4350 propellants sold prior to October 1, 2016. The use or storage of this product may result in combustion, fire damage, and serious injury or property damage. Some signs of degradation include, but are not limited to, container lid deformation, discoloration of the containers in the lid area, presence of red fumes when the container is opened, or the presence of a strong acidic odor. You are receiving this notice because our records indicate you purchased one of the affected products from MidwayUSA.

To determine if your product is included in the recall, locate the lot number for your powder. The lot number is either located in a white box on the back of the label or as a sticker on the bottom of the container; the lot number is the last digit on the label or the bottom number on the sticker.

Affected powders eligible for refund include:

Accurate 4064 – Lots 2 through 16
Accurate 2495 – Lots 2 through 17
Accurate 4350 – Lots 2 through 22

If your powder is included in the recall, immediately fill the container with water, rendering the product inert and safe for disposal. Notify Western Powders, Inc. at 406-234-0422 or customerservicewesternpowders.com for instructions on photographing the bottle for proof of lot number and refund information. Do not load ammunition with affected powder.

Please note this recall does not extend to loaded ammunition. Performance of ammunition with included propellant showing no signs of degradation will not be altered, provided recommended storage conditions are followed. It is recommended that loaded ammunition be checked regularly for deterioration. We apologize for the inconvenience, but the safety of our Customers is our utmost concern. If you have any questions, please contact Western Powders, Inc at 406-234-0422.

Thanks for your business,

MidwayUSA Customer Service

Thanks for posting this. I had two jugs/canisters that were affected. Customer service told me the best way was to email rather than call...it took a while for me to get my call returned.

Did they issue a check for refund? I got an 8lb keg and replacement cost looks like $220 with hazmat.
