I am looking at the Nikon ranging binoculars. I believe they are relatively new on the market. Looking for real world feed back on them. Have they held up well to temperature changes and do they give accurate range readings? Any one happy or unhappy with your purchase?

No experience with them but you might want to check out their warranty, or lack of same. 1 year on electronics.

Thanks. The one year warranty is something to think about.

you didn't ask, but I would get a used pair of leica geovids. Or give doug a call and see what he has. the price on those older units have really come down.

I would wait on any bigger Nikon Purchase at this time as the rumor has it they are getting our of rifle scope business. Not that binocs are going away, i'd just wait and see what the plan is for them.
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Non-current/Demo Alpha models are a significant step up optically compared to Nikon, Vortex, and Athlon for similar or not much more $$.

major budget buster but have Leica's 3000 on the way. only live once. The Leica Geovid 10x42 HD-B 3000 Rangefinder Binocular at $1999.99 is a slammin' deal on an alpha quality unit. Excited to be able to offer these at that price. Their Leica Rangemaster CRF 2700-B hand held @ $549.99, reduced from $799.00 is also a great Christmas deal if a hand held vs a rangefinder binocular is what you're looking for
