So they're using laminated glass in the windows instead of the cheaper tempered. Whoop-dee-doo. That is one fugly POS.

I was think you'd have to have been born after 2000 to see it as cool looking.

Looks like a truck designed by a group of folks who have no idea what a truck is actually used for.

It'd look like a match made in heaven next your 1981 Delorean in the driveway.

Practical thoughts...500 mile / 800 km cruising range......when it is above freezing and when the battery is new .....based upon single motor? What is the range when loaded driving through bumper deep snow at temperatures well below freezing? Range is real concern with electric vehicles and only gets worse over time.

Still needs mirrors; mud, snow, dust, road salt etc covers your cameras mighty fast.

Small bed, not a lot of room for tools, material, dead critters etc.

When is this guy going to design something practical and affordable???

Interesting video but hard to watch because of all the teenage type whooping. 3500 pound payload. 300-500 miles per charge. 7000-14000 pound towing capacity. 9mm bullet proof steel body.
It would be useful to see what it would be like in the real pickup world. Looks like it would be good in the LA world.
And, I wonder how many taxpayer dollars might have been used in its design, creation, and production.

Innovation is good. Thinking outside the box is good. It looks intriguing to me. It will be interesting to watch the development of the vehicle. As for aesthetics, how many people ran out and bought Hummers?

I pre-ordered the dual motor version since it is supposed to deliver first. My old Tacoma does everything I need from a truck, but the thought of passively trolling boomers just by driving past them is more than I can bear.

I completely agree, however, the dirty little secret there is that there's a LOT more pickups being used as daily-driving people-haulers/grocery getters on-pavement for their entire lives than there are pickups being used to tow over 5K# and/or used off-road.

If you don't believe that, drive to the car lot of your choice and see how many pickups that they've got on the lot that one would buy for a Farm, Ranch, or work-crew pickup. I popped onto the local ford dealer's website, 180 new F-150's, 9 of them in XL trim vs. 38 in the trim levels that give you leather and all the other goodies. 4:1 for $60+ trucks vs. sub $40K trucks.

I'm certainly not going to be on the pre-order list, let's face it, that slide in ramp would be jammed in place and unusable after about 20Mi of gravel road dust and that's the minorest of obvious "real-truck" issues. However I do like the idea that someone is thinking beyond the status quo.
