Thinking of getting a Heritage single action revolver in .22 rim fire, I already have a Ruger Single Six, so the Heritage would need to be a different color and barrel length for variety.. Was holding one today at a local gun shop and am concerned that the hammer might have too much play where it would hit the side of the frame in the hammer channel, I had some Taurus revolvers in the past that did that, too much slop and poor fitting. My Smith and Wesson and Ruger revolvers have better fitting and did not do that, has anyone had issues with the Heritage revolvers concerning this issue of hammer impact on the sides of the hammer channel?
Ruger now makes the Wrangler, so that is an option, but it costs more and might be too similar to my Single Six.
Thanks..
