Looks like Alcatraz is a poop-free zone. Just south of the island is a big hump on the ocean floor. Great drift fishing spot when the tide is coming in. Stripers and halibut. That is if it isn't polluted now. Haven't been there in several years. The bacteria level from untreated sewage are through the roof. Enough used hypos are swirling around Candlestick point that yosemite slough is off limits to human contact. Unintended consequences from multiply feel-good policies are wrecking the city. Homelessness is just a symptom.

Looks like they knew what they were talking about when they said to be sure to wear some flowers in your hair. It's so you can't smell the POOP! That poop problem was not a problem back when that song was sung. Things were pretty cool back around 65/66. In 67 the hells Angels kind of moved in and things started to go downhill in the Haight-Ashbury.
