So, it's been a slow process this year, opening weekend we were plagued by bears still awake & feeding heavily.

Lost 2 automated feeders to the black destroyers.





Saw lots of small bucks & does;





Couple of weeks ago, Deb finally started the process off;





She was pumped, as you can tell.

Congrats Paul. You two have had a great season and looks like lots of fun. Bears sound like they have been a nuisance; but it is still cool to see them. We barely have hunt able numbers in my area of GA. We have a one day bear season with no baiting allowed. What are your chances?

Yep, been a good season !

Bought a new house on 80 acres of land, settles next Friday.

Great huntable land, backs onto 420 acres of land locked public land, can only be accessed by us & 2 neighbours.

Got an acceptable offer on our home yesterday afternoon, after showing the young couple on Saturday.

Got back in the blind with an hour & 20 minutes of light remaining. That guy came in with 20 minutes to go !

Hence the drink, after a hard days work !

Yep, bear closed Oct 31st & they were still being a nuisance on Remembrance day Nov 11th !

Buddy saw one on the weekend, after not see him for 2 weeks !

Fleeting opportunity at a real giant on Saturday morning, but he ran a doe off & 20 minutes later, was gut shot on the neighbouring property !

They found him Sunday morning.

Anyway, our meat is hanging.

Yes, we're very excited.

Bear died the year before this season & more would have this year, if things had fallen into place.
