Looking for recommendations for a slim stock for a SA model 700. Specifically slim in the grip and fore end area. I’ve tried a B&C liked the fore end but the grip was too fat for my taste. Y’all got any recommendations??

McMillan classic. Similar forearm, slim grip. Damn near perfect.

The Edge is pretty slim with an open grip. I like it on rifles that I use in areas with more off-hand shooting.

McMillan. Mtn Rifle with standard contour or Classic with magnum contour for me. I don’t care for the Edge/classic by comparison. Grip is too open for me.
Now with even more aplomb

I haven’t fondled one yet but the Manners UC looks compelling. https://mannersstocks.com/mcs-uc

I prefer the slightly more closed grip of the Mountain Rifle. Doesn’t drop at the heel like the classic or Edge.

Another Vote For The Mountain Rifle. Also If You Can Find a Brown Precision.. I Really Like The Fill Of Those.

Walk1 so you might have discovered the price differences between your B & C and a Manners or McMillan etc.... I can say I had the exact same experience as you but have grown tremendously fond of the B and C over time. So much of an improvement over the factory synthetic it replaced. Recoil and accuracy etc... I did feel it was a bit chubby in places but don't even notice it now. For my next stock I too wanted to try a different stock and bought an HS Precision that costs just a little more than the BC. It was a little slimmer but felt heavier - which made me feel like it was somehow better made than the Bell and Carlson. Recoil was far worse though and in the end didn't feel like it offered any improvement over the prior stock.
I just mention this because the cost of the others being recommended may put you off a bit and if wanting to dive into an HS wanted to offer my opinion about doing it. The guys at Redhawk Rifles sell different brands and are good to work with. You might appreciate a call to them.

A shame B&C hasn't listened to so many shooters and slimmed down their pistol grip to the Remington factory Mountain Rifle dimensions. That is the only reason I and many more have gone with the McMillan.
