In this new book in the Robert B. Parker 'Spenser' series Spenser has gone to Los Angeles on a 'wandering daughter' assignment. The beautful daughter of a woman in Massachusetts has gone missing and her mother has hired Spenser to find her. Spenser teams up with former student Z. Sixkill who is now a licensed California private investigator to try to find the young woman. The search leads them to a cult, an Armenian gang, and various others as the truth slowly comes out. The story isn't far from recent news.
It's a good book that was hard to put down. The dialog is good and about what you'd expect a Spenser book to be and the story is timely.
A good book and recommended.
