Question for the members here.
Total NV newbie, and I was wondering of there is any NV scope around ~$1000 worth the investment. It's use would be pig hunting, and potentially predators. Of course I don't have the chance to go out hunting a lot at nights, but would be a nice things to have and maybe opportunities would be more plentiful if so equipped. Want to plan ahead for Black Friday sales if any
Could run it on AR15 223 Wylde or bolt action 243, both suppressed.

I saw an ad for a Sightmark Photon at Academy Sports for $299.00 which is $200 off. I got one last year hoping to night hunt pigs and coyotes. Only used it a couple,of times so far, and have not killed anything with it but no doubt that I will with opportunity. Have used for spotting coyotes twice that my friends with thermal scope got shots on. Lesson is use it without friends who have thermal!
Sightmark also has a newer scope called the Wraith which is color and supposedly better for daytime use. Neither are close to thermal but at $299.00 that Photon is good option.

I have got a sight mark wraith and i like it. It is a day/night scope. It does way better than I thought it would. My buddy had the photon and ended up buying the wraith and likes it much more.

The Wraith looks pretty sweet. Of course they came out with it a couple months after I got the Photon but that’s how it goes. I’ll use it this year and maybe move to the Wraith. Are you using it during the day as well? If so how is it?

So far I have just had it out of the box playing with it trying to get the functions down and to see if I can see anything in the dark with it. The IR that comes with it isn't to bad to me. I made out a cat on top of hay bales about 150yds away. Daytime I have looked thru it and changed colors and reticles but that is about it. I need to get it on my rifle and see how it works
