Anybody have experience with them? Are they a drop in installation? What pull weight would you suggest for a target AR10. Jim

I have JARD single stage triggers in both of my Colt Match Targets. I have them set to a 2 lb release. They're as good as any finely tuned trigger in a good bolt action rifle. They aren't hard to install, but it takes a good bit of fiddling to get them adjusted. You also have to lock-tite them at the proper setting, or they'll shake out of adjustment in as little as 20 to 30 rounds of .223/5.56 ammo. I'd imagine they'd shake out of adjustment much quicker in your AR10. I'd think the JARD trigger would be just the thing for a target AR10.

I'm really no help, I've never tried a Jard but I can tell you a Jewell is too light to set off the primers reliably. I would call the MFG and ask them before ordering one. They may have a stronger hammer spring for the AR-10. Sorry I couldn't be of any real assistance.

Thanks I called the maker and they have an AR10 specific trigger. I ordered two, one for each rifle. Jim

I had a jard in my ar10, they take a little fiddlin' to get like you want, but its worth it, mine broke right at 40 oz, once you get it set like you want it, put a drop of green loctite on the adjustment screws or they will quickly work loose,
only thing I didn't like was the spring was light enough it wouldn't hit primers in surplus ammo off hard enough to fire the first time through,
no problems with regular factory or handloads.

I have to agree 100%, only diff....mines a 1 1/2 lb trigger.

DPMS advises against the use of a Jard trigger in their 308's. The JP works fine though.
