Cold, it's good for breakfast. But as an after supper dessert, warm with real whipped cream (from the can haha) is uber.

My daughter made 2 today, one for her and one for me as we're the only ones in the house that eats them. Never had a from scratch punkin pie I can remember, though the crusts are always from scratch.

Pecan pie was supposed to be on the menu as well, but someone's grocery list for the monthly grocery run didn't have pecans on it. frown

I hate to eat too much cause I always end up getting sleepy.

Pie will be for tomorrow.

Two double shot Tom and Jerry's instead of pie today.

Cold pumpkin pie is wonderful.
Warm pumpkin pie is baby food.

That’s the ONLY way I’ll eat it.

Funny, pumpkin pie is the only pie (dessert) I’ll eat. Love it during the holidays with a bit of whipped cream.

I’ll spend hours picking berries, cherries and apples for my wife to make pies and cobblers. Don’t eat them though, never acquired a taste. Family enjoys my portions for sure.

Ate dinner then all of us loaded up two trucks and took the parents dinner who couldn't make it because mom is still recovering from hip surgery. Spent a fews hours with them came back home and had cold pumpkin, pecan pie with ice cold freshmade whipped cream.

It was a darn good day.

If there really is a God, The Lord was smiling on my family today.

Punkin and Pecan pies both from Sam's. Both pretty good. Should've cut up the decorative gourds on the front porch and ate them but forgot they were out there.

BTW, pumpkins, zucchini, acorns, and many of the squash varieties are all the same species, all bred from the original pumpkin. Most pies and pie fillings aren't pumpkin, they're one of the various squash varieties.

Thanks. I didnt know that, RC.
