I sweep out my pipe about every 3 years. I burn good seasoned hardwood so I don't have a creosote problem. Buck stove has a cat so that helps. Pipe is triple wall stainless all the way up, usually get about a quart when I sweep it.

It's not all that cold here tonight. A wood fire would feel good. It's also a good night to stay home. My age is showing,

I cleaned mine (and my grandfather’s) every year. Mine wasn’t a big deal, but my grandfather’s definitely needed it. He always seasoned his hardwood at least two years, but it was an old farmhouse. The ‘attic’ (my bedroom when I was there) was poorly insulated and COLD. He generally got some buildup.
The beauty of having the exterior boiler is that I don’t have to deal with that schit.

I have my own brush and poles so it isn't a big deal to do it every year. It isn't very bad, and if I were paying someone might do it every other year.
Most people don't really want the truth.
They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.

My wife gives me a present every year on my birthday which is in june. I get a chimney brush in one hand and a ladder in the other. Our brush is on flex rod and I just run it down from the top after removing the China hat. All the smug goes into the stove above the catalytic combustor . I made a attachment for my shop vac that sucks all the fumunda out. Short answer,,, once a year.

Wayne, I don't recall. At the time I made sure we were with the book.
Out of the picture there is a mounted wood duck. I keep moving that back.
I also have some red sticks for smothering out a chimney fire.

I burn about 4 cords every winter. It's a mix of aspen & spruce. I brush my chimney every year. It's a 6" triple wall & the single wall from the stove to the ceiling. It's about a total of 10' of straight pipe.

Every 6 months or 2 cords of wood. Fireplace once a year since I don’t burn it often.
