I'm guessing that this bad boy will kick the fillings out of your teeth.

The plastic parts have been removed from this rifle.
Previous owner removed the plastic barrel rib and had the screw holes professional filled and reblued. I tried to show the filled holes on top of the barrel in one of the last pictures.

Has the stock been refinished? If so with what? How does it shoot?

My 600 in 308 Win does just that. But, this rifle has a recoil pad and mine only has a plastic butt plate. That recoil pad should help a lot.

I didn't think twice about the stock being refinished but I would say Yes. But I didn't refinish the stock so I don't know what was used.

I haven't had a chance to shoot this rifle yet.

If the rifle fits then the recoil is quite manageable as I find you can roll with it easily. Not quite the same off the bench but honestly for the amount power delivered the other end isn't bad. I've had several and still have my Elk and moose truck/beater with rib removed. I've never owned or shot a 600 that wasn't accurate. Benchrest grade action, stiff with very fast lock-time. But the rib is attached to the barrel with metal studs welded to the barrel that receive cap screws. I've never had a 600 that wasn't. Not easy to remove as they must be ground off, polished and reblued. Great timber and backpacking rifle and the 350 mag will quickly bust down an Elk or moose's shoulders so they ain't going nowhere.
