It was done with a milling machine. I did mine as there was a slight crack in the ADL part of the stock. (it ain't no Mcmilan) I had no choice, and in this case pot metal would obviously be better. Note, I have never had a problem with the metal BDL parts of a 700.

murkydismal Campfire Regular M Joined: Aug 2015 Posts: 541 WY	CAUTION...definitely NOT the same as current Mtn Rifle synthetics, so don't fall for that. I have both in hand right now. Current is B&C w/full aluminum bedding block, it's a tank and the grip is like a 2x4. Original Ti ADL is a feather, slimmer all around. Don't know why original couldn't be inletted to BDL, but maybe someone can advise.

It is like holding a feather, no full aluminum bedding block.
