A riot barrel is normally 18.5" long. What did you expect? Its designed for close range defense. With a normal barrel and the right choke the results would be much different.

I'd have gotten rid of that Remington, too.

My Win 12 does well on ducks and geese and cranes.

Don’t shoot yerself in all them speed drills πŸ™

Anyhoo.... the pre-WWII British Military Revolver School (handgun certification course) required the participant, starting from a one-handed low ready position, be able to place a single round into a 10” x 15” rectangle at 10 yards within one second in order to qualify.

Interesting that the Brits were so far ahead of us when it came to the practical use of handguns for so long.

Benelli SBEII with mag extension. 6 rounds of 00 buckshot, 15 pellets each. 100% in 8" at 45 yards.

Or 54 pellets of #4 buck in each.

I've got more experience than you'll ever drearm of having. You haven't got the guts, the patience, or the desire to try. NO riot barrel will do any better. That was 1978, and millions of people STILL "think' that the shotgun is waf for combat. It aint.

ant that means 3" patterns at 20m, which means you might as well use a rifle. :-) There's just no way out of the shotgun's limitations. It sucks. You either get too tight a pattern up close or you have no reach. Only fools can't see that this is the case and there's no way to fix it. You're asking sand to give off light. never happen.

have 5 buddies try it. You'll get the same results. A shotgun with normal riot barrel lack of choke is worthless at 50 yds with 00 Buck. it's not worth much at 30 yds, either, 1 pellet is all you can expect in the vitals. It's pretty worthless at 20m, if the guy is using cover, too.
