Thought you guys may want to see the "letter" I got back on my 250/3000. I thought that the Savage 99's were in F, Eg, etc. This one was not I assume?

Cliff hangin' here man.......
Mike...
All said, the Savage 99 is a genius of a rifle. Although no longer produced, it remains highly revered, as it was the foundation from which Arthur Savage built one of America's great gun companies. >> (Jon Y. Wolfe) <<

There's a sticky note in the Photography forum about how to use Photobucket.com to host and post an image. Or, ping me and I'll give you my email address to send it to and I'll post it from home tonight.

Can you remind me of how you go about getting one of these letters and the cost of it?

It's in the sticky notes at the top of the forum. Look under the one titled "Misc. Good Info". If you tell JC it's from a campfire member it runs you $25. Otherwise $30..
Nice info Brian. Kinda cool to get that info, isn't it? I got to send in for letters on a couple of mine, been putting it off.

BJL, based on the serial range (211xxx) of your rifle, it will not have the checkered trigger as listed in the letter. That feature had been dropped before your rifle was produced.

Menards, Home Depot and the like is what we got. Not an improvement in my mind
