That is awesome. Congratulations, young man! I have killed a lot of deer bigger than my 1st one, but never one I will cherish any more than that one. Can't wait to see a photo of your next one, little buddy!

Thanks for posting this for me, hillbillybear.
As you all can see from the picture, my boy is pumped! He got his buck yesterday evening after getting home from school. We have been hunting hard this season, with very few deer sightings. Buck fever got the best of him on Wednesday, causing him to miss one clean. We had a discussion on focusing on the shot and calming the nerves. Apparently it worked. Mason Ray took his buck with his Great Grandpa's old Marlin .30-30, making the event ever more special. Grandpa would be very proud! It will easily be one of my greatest memories.
