Who's got one ? Lets see them and here about them.
This is mine. Built by ER Shaw in 1981. Feeds beautifuly due to the modified follower . I added a pic so you can see the tapped screw that allows it to feed perfect.

Id really like to get one of these. I’m a big fan of the .45-70 in a bolt gun.

While the .45-70 is cool, I saw one in .30-40 Krag one time and that is what I'd like to do with one.

Please provide more info about the screw in the follower. How does it improve feeding?

It forces the follower to center and keeps the round under the feed ramp. Some people have welded extra metal to the same side .

I always wanted one, even had an action in my hand at a gun show in 1997, but decided to pass. Cool rifles, I'll pick one up some day.

Always intrigued me but I have never seen one that I know of. In my imagination it would make a great rifle to have along in big bear country...but I have no idea whether that is a fact in reality. Is the reliability there for such purposes?

This one feeds reliably. I wouldn’t hesitate using it in bear country ... although I trim the barrel down to 20” to make in more maneuverable in tight quarters.

I bought a Siamese Mauser 45/70 barreled action a few years ago from an estate but could never find a stock. Does anyone know where I might find one?

I also forgot to mention when it comes to feeding the back of the extractors was milled more open and polished because the 45/70 rim is .05 thicker than the Siamese round. This aided to this one feeding so flawlessly.
