I have a Winchester Grand European double rifle in 257 Roberts that came to me with the provided scope rings. They are 1". This rifle won't be a long range shooter but I do like to have a larger FOV and OB than one might have on the standard 2.5-8x36 Leupold. So what do you guys say? What is your favorite 1" hunting scope? I don't anticipate any shots on game longer than 300 yards.
Coyotes and pigs do not fall under the 300 yard rule.

Its one I had not thought of but I agree with you that it's a great scope.

I like the 3.5-10X40 VX3 or a 3-9X40 VX2 or Freedom. Just what I prefer, got several of each on various rifles.

A fixed 6 Weaver would be pretty slick.

I just put a Vx-3i 2.5-8x36 on my .25-06 it's nice. Also have a 3-9x40 VX Freedom, it's nice too.

Had Most Of Them All.. And For Me Nothing Beats The Swarovski's 3-10-42 With 4A..Most Of The Time, Its Dark When I Go In The Woods And Dark When I come Out..I Prefer The AV's To The Z-3's. Have Several Of Both. Seems The Light Doesn't Wash The Cross Hairs Out On The Older AV's. And They Can Be Mounted In Low's On a LA Mountain Rifle.. The Z3 Can Not..

Since it’s a double rifle it needs something German on it. Zeiss conquest maybe one of the older ones that meopta made. 3-9x40

If you don't have to dial, the Swaros are awesome, and for the money the 1" tube Leupold are great. If you are dialing a lot, prepare to add 10 ounces and go with a 30mm scope.

Easy. It’s begging for a fixed power, fairly petit. Swaro or kahles 4x (or 6x) w/ a proper #4. Performance:size and weight ratio has it, and the reticles don’t wash out.
The meopta 6x is nice, but larger, heavier, and have had two #4’s of theirs that washed out something fierce (the #1, on the other hand, did not). The meopta 4x imported Stateside is really really nice but, again, longer and heavier than needs to be.
A solid alternative, leup 4x33 or 4x28. Or leup 2-7x28. Duplex.

My favorite 1" scope would be the Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 with green dot duplex. Reliable, light, good hunting reticle, and nice glass. Although I don't know how it'd look on a double rifle...
Some shooting knowledge: Don't stand in front of the muzzle. Some hunting knowledge: Too much noise ruins the hunt.
