Was in my local Walmart the other day and am aware that they will not carry certain types of ammo anymore. Saw lots of the Winchester White box and the brown packed stuff too in 9 mm and the prices were clearly very low, they were marked "clearance". Thought about getting some after confirming with the store clerk, but years ago I had a squib load in 40 S/W in Winchester that blew up my barrel, the Winchester company (Olin) had my gun fixed by CZ 75, so it worked out. But have seen and read that they have had problems with the quality control of their .22 rim fire recently, had used a box of the White Stuff in my Kahr .380 that I got on a trade (ammo), it shot to the right and low but did not blow up my gun.
Checked the reviews and it seems OK to shoot this stuff, although people say it runs dirty. Should I go back and pick some up? Am nervous about it after their product blew up my gun and I avoid Winchester pistol ammo to date.

White box is cheap and dirty but is fine for plinking ammo. Not accurate in the firearms i tried it in. I prefer blazer ammo

Never understood "dirty". You have to clean the pistol anyway. If it's dirty enough to start jamming, just clean it sooner. We shoot ammunition like WW white box because it's cheap, not because it is super clean or accurate.

Is the Walmart Winchester white box ammo different than the Winchester white box ammo that I purchased at the hardware store? Because I am not finding it to be dirt and it is very accurate out of my Sig P320 & P365

I've shot a ton of it without issue.

I would love to have a few hundred rounds of the flat points around.
