Kind of need tires for 06 sorento, 4wd. Runs 3000 year now stock is 245 70 16. Last go we replaced michelins with granadas, truck mud tread E rating. This time prices really went up. I dont want to go back to lighter tires and and am considering 225 75 16 light truck. Narrower footprint and about same diameter. Anyone done this? Tire shop was not much help, offered me 275 65 16 or such so i could look cool. I don't want more sidewall roll or thin sides.

If you don't need super rough tires, Michelins are great tire,

Where is a Kia Sorento going to go where the tires will make much of a difference?

Stick
Lo range 4 wd, limited slip full skid plates. Just as good as a a similar year jeep or toy or. That is what sold me, compared to all the skier aimed cars. Not the rebadged Hyundai.

No complaints about my Cooper AT3's. I'm buying another set when the time comes.

I don't know about now days but when i was a kid mounting tires u needed dynamite to blow Michelins off the rim. I dont know if its good or bad but when a pickup would roll in with Michelins morale would instantly fall haha. Also know tire shops are full of [bleep] on speed rating among other things. Just buy tires u want online and have a small tire shop mount them. Just like the Nitrogen BS they were selling a few years ago. Guy asked me if i wanted my tires "nitronized" I told him its a god damn Chevy not a Boeing I'll take regular old air.

Yes. My stock size is 265 70 17. I've been running 245 75 17. Same diameter, same weight rating. They handle better, especially in snow, and there's more room for chains if I need them.

Walmart Tire on line, or Discount Tire Direct ( on line)..

I buy Hankooks from either source for my Honda Pilot.

Didn't even read the question.

The answer is Michelin.

Went back and read the question.

Replacement for Michelin is Goodyear Wrangler's.
